Context: "Something You Forgot Disappeared" is a composition that combines piano, field recordings, electronics, and microphone. It was inspired by sounds I recorded in 2023 when I returned to my hometown, Hefei, for the first time in four years after COVID. A multitude of sounds flooded my ears, both fresh and familiar, or even well-worn. Countless embodied memories tied to these sounds instantly resurfaced, overwhelming me. Starting from two field recordings made at the time, I began a dialogue with these (sound) memories using piano and electronic.

2023年8月，4年以来我第一次回到中国，大量的声音贯入我的耳朵，它们是新鲜的，又是陈旧的，无数的与声音绑定的身体记忆瞬间回来。从2个当时的环境录音出发，我借助钢琴和电子乐开始了与（声音）记忆的对话。记忆是无法言说的调皮。
